Basicly from what I'm reading (and hoping is true) that since Anet is restarting the game from an hour before the problem became known... that anything done during that erased hour will be lost. There goes all your FOW armor haha... yes I laugh because I wasn't on to take advantage of the drop in prices to be bummed out knowing I could lose it all anyway...

PvE vs PvP?

Well its about time something happened to piss off the PvP folks who otherwise complain and always get their way. "oh thats to hard a build... nerf it please!" and get their wish. Because of all the demands for changes in PvP, its PvE that suffers... AoE nerf and a pile of other skills that worked VERY well in PvE until some PvP people cried to much and got it nerfed.

I'm more then happy to sit here staring at an error=72 for a while as long as it pisses off the PvP people. Now you know how we PvE people feel when you always get your way. Not that we want this down time but its about time you got the short end of the stick to.

As for "only the good players play a real game... PvP" people... Your the very reason I don't PvP... bunch of stuck ups is what you are. So elite but you gotta cry about very skill. When's the last time someone in PvE complained about a skill being to overpowering? Um... never since there hasn't even been a first.

Anyway... guess I'll go make some dinner. play nice people...

What do PvP players have anything to do with the AoE nerf o.O And PvE players get some good skills nerfed too like say...Prot bond :P Would have be a very viable skill coupled with Essence bond and balthazars spirit oh well :P.

I'm pretty glad about the rollback though so I can laugh at all my friends who bought tons of shards. :P

Yay! Great job, Anet. I missed it all, but I can see you did the right thing, no matter how many innocent people lost some of their stuff. It's the only way, and all the people that were hoarding items should have foreseen it. I salute you.

if this is true i'm sorry for u but u know it's the right thing.
what u think, that your greens would have worth more than a couple of k in a world where anyone had the storage full of runes a gems?

cmon, u know this was inevitable

Sorry mate i have an issue with this. For some of us, we thought it was a market reset - it happened before why not happen again. There was no thought of exploit, rather simply misunderstanding. Especially since Anet did not rollback then.
Again well done on the rollback, wish it hadnt been rolled back so far GMT since i didnt even notice the market change til way past 10

misunderstanding? please, you guys been playing this game for so long you could understand something wrong was going on, market prices dont just drop that fast, only a hack, bug, etc.. could cause that, and many people who bought items that moment knew this wasnt just a misunderstanding, i dont blame people, its very hard to asve for fow armor, or buy expensive items, but thats just the part of all fun, some people just want to reach their goals by cheating somehow

This was a bad mistake, but calling every player who is not farming 24 7 or gets a VERY lucky drop in fow, or gets a VERY lucky drop in HoH a cheater is a bit too much.

Some players have luck and some don't. Not every aspect of this game is about skill, only the pvp part is. PVE is about luck. Preety bad luck here for us.
Good thing it's a game and not our real bank. Anet made a mistake, and they appologized for it. Ok, appology accepted (duh), lets continue having bad/good luck in PVE, shall we?

Good for you than. I also spend most of my ingame time in fow/uw and I get shitty drops every time. It sux having bad luck huh?
They didn't cheat, its wasnt their problem, it was an error of the game. Too bad for everyone.

People who are whinning about this, will, from a week start whinning about the GW Economy gone screw.

Tail of a dog can never be straightened.

You ppl simply fail to see the bigger picture, Its better to sacrifice 2 hours of hardwork than face a constant misery due to a failed economy for next few months.

Yes, its indeed ArenaNet's mistake that the trader prices were reset...and they should be criticised for it...its not the first time this happened.. and Gaile, cmon, we need a special gift or something all this... which lasts a week or so...you know something special...lots of people lost alot of stuff they got without being involved in this...they deserve something, even just as a token. =]

The thing I'm not too happy about is I spent a long time trading with people before this happened and now the Items I got at good prices will have gone!

It is OK to say it is good for the economy, but when you have next to nothing and you do a good trade to get something better than that pointy stick you had...

And another point for the misunderstanding, for some of us it was a clear misunderstanding since I do not play the game that often now and have not had it for years etc.. I went and bought what I needed I did not buy loads to make money on, all I bought was 1 sup vigor. Also, how would anyone know that it was not intentional? i.e devalue everything before Factions??? If you go to a trader and they offer it to you for a price and you could afford it, would you not buy it?

The problem with this was that people got too greedy, in the hopes that when things are locked down again they can sell their shards etc.. for several k and make some serious money. I don't see that buying from a trader can be seen as cheating, you have to get a quote for the items. Buying it for 250g then selling for 2k is cheeky but once again not really cheating! Cheating is being run from Ascalon to ascension in my book.

Next time you are in a shop and the till operator runs an item through the till, that item should be priced at £100 according to the sticker but the price given by the till is £1 how much would you pay?

Yeah, everyone knew at the exact time that it was a bug. Dirty cheaters! Now they can buy a chaos axe with 15^50 with is a whole lot better than a 15^50 great axe! Damn cheaters!

I never cheat in any game, but I did buy some shards. Point is, this "cheat" would not have affected anything but prices. People would still play the same way as before, they would just look better visually. Thats it. Give them a break man, not every has the privilage or luck as other players have.
Get over yourself will ya?
